VRT Tester

The selected candidate would be responsible to carry out VRT inspections on all types of light and heavy vehicles. The candidate will be also be expected to perform general clerical and office duties related to this role.

 The ideal candidate must:

- VRT Licenced Tester qualified for Class 2 and Class 3 with Transport Malta. 
- Must be fluent and proficient in both spoken and written Maltese and English. 
- Must have good verbal and social skills with experience in Customer Approach and Customer 
  Care. 
- Must have good presentation skills and be smart. 
- ECDL Certification or the equivalent in experience of working on computer systems. 
- Must be able to take responsibility and to work on own initiative.


Storekeeper

The chosen candidate will report to the Head of Fleet Maintenance and work alongside the maintenance team. The main duties of this post are to maintain an accurate inventory of the Maintenance Department’s automotive parts and equipment, to receive, inspect, store, and issue parts and supplies according to set procedures and to do related paper work as required.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be computer literate
  • Be fluent in spoken and written Maltese and English
  • Be in possession of a driving licence
  • Work responsibly
  • Be organised
  • Have good communication skills

Any previous experience working in a similar role or possession of a Category C driving licence will be considered an asset.


Heavy Plant Operators


Truck Drivers

Truck drivers are primarily responsible for the vehicle they are entrusted with, monitoring its image, state, cleanliness and road worthiness. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the loading and unloading of goods, prompt and diligent transportation of goods from point to point locally, working in a team environment, liaising with stock dispatching and/or warehouse supervisor and manager, ensuring that clients are satisfied with goods received and must be responsible for any relevant documentation.

The ideal candidate would ideally possess the following: 

  • A clean police conduct
  • Previous experience working as a truck driver
  • Must be in possession of a C1 and clean driving licence
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Maltese and English
  • Available to work shift hours as well as evenings and weekends
  • Forklift and crane certifications as well as ADR certification would be considered an asset.

Trailer Drivers

Trailer drivers are primarily responsible for the vehicle they are entrusted with, monitoring its image, state, cleanliness and road worthiness. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the loading and unloading of goods, prompt and diligent transportation of goods from point to point locally, working in a team environment, liaising with stock dispatching and/or warehouse supervisor and manager, ensuring that clients are satisfied with goods received and must be responsible for any relevant documentation.

The ideal candidate would ideally possess the following: 

  • A clean police conduct
  • Previous experience working as a trailer driver·         
  • Must be in possession of a (C1 + E) and clean driving licence
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Maltese and English
  • Available to work shift hours as well as evenings and weekends

Forklift and crane certifications as well as ADR certification would be considered an asset.


Loading Assistants

This posts main duties includes in assisting in loading and unloading of goods as instructed, leaving them in the condition requested by the consignee / client. 

The ideal candidate would ideally possess the following:

- Clean police conduct  
- Forklift certification would be considered an asset 


Heavy Plant Mechanic 

The post includes the participation in the maintenance and repairs of the Express Trailers heavy equipment, ensuring that these are made available, duly repaired and serviced, quickly and efficiently in order to avoid equipment idle time. 

The ideal candidate would ideally possess the following: 

  • Experience in repairs and maintenance of heavy equipment 
  • Relative City & Guilds certification 
  • Technical skills / knowledge of equipment management 
  • Some knowledge of heavy vehicle computerized systems 
  • A hands-on approach 
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines 
Previous experience in mechanics, welding or maintenance work and the possession of a Category C licence would be considered an asset.
